Shannon, here is the other version I was telling you about. Melanie Lowry gave this to me when LilliAnn was born. HOpe you enjoy it!:
1 pkg. wild rice
4-6 chicken breasts
cream of celery
cream of mushroom
cream of chicken
1 tsp onion flakes
cashews, divided in half
1/2 stick butter, melted
Boil chicken and dice. Cook wild rice according to pkg. directions. Mix all ingredients together and pour into a buttered casserole dish. Sprinkle the remaining cashews on top and cover with foil. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, uncover and bake another 10-15 minutes.
Hi, Heather! I like to put a can of water chestnuts in my poppyseed chicken -- just another variation...
